Alessio Venier is a seasoned professional in the field of genomics and bioinformatics, currently serving as Market Development Manager EMEA at Bionano Genomics, Inc. since November 2021. Prior experience includes roles as Field Application Scientist at BioDiscovery from April 2012 to October 2021, and Application Support Scientist 2 at Illumina from September 2010 to April 2012, where technical support for sequencing applications was provided. Additionally, Alessio worked at Affymetrix from July 2007 to September 2010, delivering technical support and training while fostering collaboration among various departments. Alessio began a career as a Data Analyst at Glasgow University in late 2006 after completing an M.Res in Bioinformatics at the University of Glasgow and earning a degree in Plant Science from Universita di Udine in 2004.
