Ben Clifford has extensive experience in genomic research and applications, currently serving as a Senior Scientist in Clinical and Scientific Affairs at Bionano Genomics, Inc. since May 2016. In this role, Ben Clifford specializes in the Saphyr® System, which utilizes high-throughput genome mapping and advanced imaging techniques for analyzing ultra high-molecular weight DNA. Prior to joining Bionano Genomics, Ben Clifford worked at the University of Notre Dame Department of Biological Sciences as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant from August 2010 to May 2016, earning a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences. Ben Clifford also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from St. Olaf College, obtained in 2008.
