Florian Pestel

Florian Pestel currently serves as the Director of Projects & Operations in Research and Development at BioNTech SE, having taken on the role in March 2023 as Chief of Staff to the Senior Vice President of Individualized mRNA Cancer Immunotherapies. Prior to this, Florian was with Berg Lund & Company from April 2016 to March 2023, holding the position of Associate Director for Global Digitalization Projects and advancing to Senior Manager. Earlier experience includes roles as Manager, Senior Consultant, and Consultant at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg from 2013 to 2015, where Florian contributed as a Research Assistant in the Department of Economics focusing on monetary and international economic relations. Florian holds a Master of Science in Economics from The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg and a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Management from the same institution, complemented by studies at McGill University and The University of Texas at Austin.
