Joshua Galgano

Joshua Galgano, PhD, is an experienced patent counsel currently serving at BioNTech SE since December 2023, following a role as IP Counsel at Biogen where management of the IP portfolio for the FDA-approved ZurzuvaeTM began in March 2022. Prior experience includes IP Counsel for Biologics Patents at Sanofi, where Joshua managed patent strategy across all development stages for various biologics, and earlier roles at McCarter And English and Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox, focusing on patent prosecution in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology sectors. Joshua holds a Juris Doctor in Patent Law and a PhD in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from the University of Iowa, along with a BS in Polymer Science and an AA in Chemistry. Joshua is also a veteran of the United States Air Force.
