Dr. Alexander Uhl has extensive work experience in the medical industry. Dr. Alexander served as the CEO and Chief Executive Officer of BIOTRONIK since July 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of President of Vascular Intervention from January 2020 to June 2022, and Senior Vice President of Corporate Marketing for CRM, EP, and VI from February 2018 to January 2020 at BIOTRONIK. Before joining BIOTRONIK, Dr. Uhl worked as the Vice President of Global Marketing for Vascular Intervention from November 2012 to January 2018.
Earlier in their career, Dr. Uhl served as the Head of Global Product Management at Bauerfeind AG from April 2009 to October 2012, and as the Head of Marketing for GSA Joint Replacement at Stryker from November 2006 to April 2009. Dr. Alexander began their career as a Produktmanager at EMS - Electro Medical Systems from November 2003 to October 2006.
Dr. Alexander Uhl obtained a Dr. degree in Applied Physics in Medicine, specializing in areas such as Biomaterials, Biomechanics, and Implants. Dr. Alexander pursued their education at the University of Bristol in the UK, UNICAMP/UFRJ in Brazil, and the University of Jena and TFH Berlin in Germany.
