Volker Lang has extensive work experience in the medical technology industry. Volker started their career at Biotronik in 1994 as a Clinical Interface and later served as the Assistant to CEO. In 2001, they joined Micro Systems Engineering Inc. as a Senior Director for Applied Research and Design Assurance until 2010. Lang then returned to Biotronik as the Senior Director of Quality Management Operations. Volker subsequently held the positions of Vice President of Global Quality Management and Senior Vice President of Research and Development CRM. In 2017, Lang was still serving in the latter role at Biotronik. Additionally, they worked at Micro System Engineering Inc. as the Senior Director of Software Product Development and Design Assurance from 2010 to 2012.
Volker Lang has a strong education background. Volker obtained a High School degree from Fridericianum Erlangen in 1988. Later, they pursued a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Physics from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, graduating in 1994. Volker then went on to complete their PhD in Physics from the same university between 1994 and 1999. Continuing their academic journey, they earned an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Portland from 2007 to 2009.
