George is a managing director at Alvarez and Marsal where he is head of the corporate finance practice and chairman of the opinion committee. He has been a member of the Birch Family Services’ Board of Directors since 2010. Before joining Alvarez and Marsal, he was a managing director in the merchant banking practice at Credit Suisse. His son is a graduate of Birch Family Services’ Phyllis L. Susser School for Exceptional Children, our New York State-approved non-public school that provides a 12-month special education day program for students age 11-21. George also sits on the Board of the Vellore Foundation and is a member of the investment committee of the fund investment program for Quilvest. George received his bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and his MBA from Stanford University.

Since 1975, Birch Family Services has served over 20,000 people with autism and developmental disabilities and their families throughout New York City. Their programs have expanded over the years and now include a wide array of individualized, person-centered services. Birch’s programs have helped people with autism and developmental disabilities and their families navigate significant transitions across the life cycle for more than 40 years.
