Emily Kanester

Emily Kanester is an experienced environmental professional with a solid background in project management and field operations. Currently serving as a Field Operator at Birchcliff Energy Ltd. since May 2023, Emily also holds the position of Environmental Project Manager and Environmental Lead Scientist at SynergyAspen Environmental Inc. since January 2019. Previous roles include Project Coordinator at OAKRIDGE Environmental Engineering Inc., and Biological Technician at Naito Environmental, where work focused on fish habitat rehabilitation. Early career experience includes positions as a Grounds Maintenance Worker at Spallumcheen Golf & Country Club, Nursery Worker at PRT Growing Services Ltd., and Groundkeeper at Brit Electric Inc., all taken during university summer breaks. Emily earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from The University of British Columbia, complemented by a high school diploma from Vernon Secondary School.
