Alena Machulina has a diverse work experience in accounting roles. Alena started their career in 2007 as a Finance Director at JSC ATI Fashion, where they worked until 2011. In 2013, they joined JSC ATI Fashion again, first as an Accountant and later as the Chief Accountant, until 2015. In 2016, they became a CPA Student at Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada). Since 2016, they have also worked at Bird Construction, starting as a District Accounting Assistant until 2018. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as a Project Accountant at Bird Construction, where they were responsible for various accounting tasks related to project management. Since October 2021, they have been working as a Senior Project Accountant at Bird Construction.

Alena Machulina completed their Master's degree in Accounting at Belarusian National Technical University from 1996 to 2001. Alena then pursued a certificate in Custom Service Specialist at the International Management Institute IMI-Belarus in 2001. In 2016, they enrolled as a Student in the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) program and completed their education in Accounting in 2020.
