Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN)
Marija Vasilevska is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in capacity building, quality assurance, and project management within the media and education sectors. Currently, Marija serves as the Programme Manager for Capacity Building and Strengthening of Independent Media and Project Manager for Business Development at the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network since September 2022. In parallel, Marija holds the position of Expert for Quality Assurance in Higher Education with the European Agencies for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, contributing evaluations and enhancing standards across multiple countries since April 2014. Marija's prior roles include Project Manager at the Center for Social Innovations BLINK 42-21, and Curator and Impact Officer at Global Shapers Community. Marija has a Master's Degree in Finance and Financial Law and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration at the University American College Skopje.

The Balkan Investigative Reporting Network, BIRN is a network of independent charities operating across the Balkans. Our mission is to help develop an active and independent media working to international standards and to report on events in the region without bias or favour. We also publish Belgrade Insight and Prishtina Insight, the only English language newspapers in their respective cities.
