Engineering Manager at Bits of Good

Nathan Papa is currently an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the College of Computing at Georgia Tech, specializing in Computer Organization and Programming. With a strong background in full-stack development, Nathan serves on the Product Maintenance team at Bits of Good, focusing on bug fixes and application improvements, while also contributing to the development of the GT Scheduler platform. Previous experience includes a co-op as an Application Engineer at Waystar, where Nathan enhanced patient healthcare portals, and research as a Student Researcher in the Georgia Tech VIP Program, investigating adaptive learning through ChatGPT. Nathan's technical skills were further developed through a Developer Bootcamp, and earlier experience includes backend development for GT WebDev and leadership roles in cybersecurity competitions. Nathan is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at Georgia Institute of Technology.

Bits of Good is a student-run Georgia Tech College of Computing organization that connects talented undergraduate software developers with local Atlanta nonprofits to work on projects that are mutually beneficial to both nonprofits and students. Nonprofits gain new tools for advancing their social missions while the students refine their skills and expand their portfolios by using computing knowledge to provide real-world solutions.
