As Infrastructure Security Engineer you will join the Security Operations Team. You will focus on the security of our cloud infrastructure. You will take part in security reviews and threat modelling, perform security assessments for existing solutions, and drive infrastructure-based security initiatives. In addition to that, you will work closely with various Security and Technology teams on a variety of mission critical projects. Moreover, you will be tasked with scaling secure infrastructure, evangelizing sound infrastructure security practices, and driving efforts to ensure that you and the team can scale with the company.

What you'll do

• Drive security initiatives to improve the security posture of Bitstamp’s existing and future infrastructure projects.
• Support and consult with Infrastructure and Engineering teams in the area of infrastructure security.
• Proactively participate in the betterment of Security Operations infrastructure and processes.

Requirements

• Significant experience (min. 3 years) with cloud providers in a system engineering, DevOps, and/or security engineering role.
• Experience with cloud providers’ security services (i.e. AWS Inspector, AWS GuardDuty, or corresponding services from other cloud providers).
• Good understanding of network and web related protocols (such as TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS, protocols).
• Good understanding of common security services, security controls, and security flaws.
• Experience with Linux, Bash, Python, and Git.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and/or infrastructure orchestration tools.
• Ability to make sound security decisions based on incomplete data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English) with an ability to articulate complex topics in a clear and concise manner.
