João Alves has a diverse work experience that spans across multiple industries and roles. João is currently serving as the Marketing Head - Search & Shopping, Social and Display at BIZAY since May 2017. In this role, they manage several teams and is responsible for bringing automation and scalability to various marketing channels. Prior to joining BIZAY, João worked at MediaCom as a Senior Search Manager and Search Manager from 2015 to 2017. João also held the position of Account Manager at Reprise Media from 2011 to 2015. Before that, they worked as a Digital Media Strategist and Planner at Mediabrands from 2007 to 2011. João's earlier roles include Senior Media Researcher at Initiative Group - Lisbon from 2004 to 2007, Coca-Cola Euro 2004 Youth Program Coordinator at Coca-Cola Portugal from 2003 to 2004, Communication Assistant at APE - Association de la Presse Étrangère from 2002 to 2003, and Communication Assistant at APAV - Portuguese Victim Support from 2001 to 2002.
João Alves completed their education at ISCEM - Instituto Superior de Comunicação Empresarial from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained a Licenciatura degree in Comunicação Empresarial (Business Communication). In 2002 to 2003, João also attended EFAP - École Française des Attachés de Presse for a course in Communication d'Entreprise (Corporate Communication).
In addition to their formal education, João Alves has obtained various certifications to further enhance their skills. João completed the Account Leadership Flight Path at Twitter in August 2015, the Blueprint All Content Learning Path at Facebook in August 2015, and the Bing Ads Accredited Professional certification at Microsoft in April 2015. João also has the Certificado de Competências Pedagógicas - CCP from IEFP, which they obtained in July 2014. Furthermore, they have completed several certifications from Google, including Advanced Search in October 2012, Advertising Fundamentals in December 2011, Analytics Individual Certification in November 2013, and Advanced Display in November 2012.
