Jan Spielhoff

Jan Spielhoff is a seasoned professional in international business and legal affairs, currently serving as Vice President at Black Bear since June 2025. Prior experience includes leading business affairs at FilmChain from January 2021 to June 2025 and serving as Chief Operating Officer at HanWay Films from June 2006 to September 2020, where Jan managed daily operations, financial projections, and stakeholder relationships. During tenure at HanWay, Jan also held the position of Director of Business Affairs, overseeing legal and commercial aspects of distribution while implementing efficient systems and managing a team. Earlier roles include Head of Business and Legal Affairs at The Works International and Contract Attorney at Debevoise & Plimpton. Jan holds an LL.M in Law from UCL and a Staatsexamen in Law from Freie Universität Berlin, as well as participating in Seth Godin's altMBA program.
