Mike Davies is an experienced reporter and photographer currently working for Black Press since July 2014, focusing on diverse stories for the Campbell River Mirror. Alongside this role, Mike has been contributing as a freelancer to GolfWest Magazine, providing valuable content tailored for golfers in British Columbia. Mike previously held multiple editorial positions at The Omega, including Editor-in-Chief, where oversight of production, story assignments, and financial management was key. Other roles included Roving Editor, covering various events at Thompson Rivers University, and Sports Editor, focusing on university athletics. Additionally, Mike served as Opinions and Humour Editor for Canadian University Press, curating and editing opinion pieces for national distribution. Mike holds a Bachelor of Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in English Rhetoric and Professional Writing, both from Thompson Rivers University.
