Marqita King

Marqita King is an accomplished accounting professional with extensive experience in joint interest billing and accounts payable. Currently serving as a Senior JIB Accountant at Black Stone Minerals, L.P. since July 2018, Marqita is responsible for generating JIB invoices, reconciling accounts, and resolving billing disputes. Prior to this role, Marqita worked at Freeport-McMoRan Oil & Gas for over a decade, where responsibilities included reviewing non-operated invoices, executing month-end processes, and managing vendor relations as both a JIB Accountant and Accounts Payable Associate. Marqita holds a Graduate Certificate in Accounting from the University of Houston-Downtown and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the same institution, along with an Associate's degree in Accounting from Houston Community College.
