Additionally, John has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. In November 2018, they received certifications in "ISO 13485:2016 - Medical Devices Quality Management Systems Requirements for Regulatory Purposes," "Pathways to CE Marking under the In Vitro Diagnostics Directive," and "Pathways to CE Marking under the Medical Device Directive (MDD) 93/42/EEC:2016" from the WMDO - World Medical Device Organization. In March 2018, John completed the "Introduction to the European patent system" course offered by the European Patent Office.
