Michael Day

Michael Day is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in regulatory compliance and commercial law. Currently serving as Principal Legal Counsel, Regulatory at Blackhawk Network since December 2009, Michael has held multiple roles within the company, providing expert guidance on product design, compliance, and lobbying efforts. Prior to Blackhawk Network, Michael was First Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at Washington Mutual, overseeing various legal aspects related to banking and financial services. Michael's career also includes roles at Shutts & Bowen and Dreher Langer & Tomkies, where expertise in credit card and mortgage lending was developed. Michael graduated with a JD from the University of Chicago Law School and holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, along with a BA in Economics from Harvard University.
