Trey O'Connor, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in data science and pricing strategy. Trey currently holds the position of Data Science Senior Manager at BlackLocus since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at The Home Depot as a Data Science Manager from September 2020 to May 2022. From 2015 to 2020, Trey served as a Principal Scientist at Revenue Analytics, Inc., where they played a crucial role in designing and developing pricing software for the hotel industry. Trey also designed internal software and coded production-level code in Python for data wrangling, price estimation, and forecasting. Trey's previous roles include Senior Consultant, Operations Research at Revenue Analytics, Inc., Experienced Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Manager, Pricing Strategy at Sears Holdings Corporation. Trey began their career as a Teaching Assistant at The University of Chicago, where they worked with Nobel Prize-Winning Professor Robert Fogel. Trey also gained research experience as a Research Assistant with Nobel Prize-Winning Professor James Heckman during their time at The University of Chicago.
Trey O'Connor, Ph.D., completed their education in Economics at the University of Chicago. Trey earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) with Honors from 2001 to 2005. Later, they pursued further studies at the same institution and obtained their Ph.D. in Economics from 2006 to 2011.
