Niccole Bruno, DVM has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the veterinary field. Niccole is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer and Veterinarian at BLEND | Veterinary DEIB Certifications since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked at VetCor from April 2017 to February 2022 as a Veterinarian and Chief of Staff. From June 2015 to February 2022, they also held the position of Star Stylist at Stella & Dot Family of Brands.
Niccole gained valuable experience as a Veterinarian at Island Veterinary Group from September 2016 to March 2017. Before that, they served as the Veterinary Medical Director at Village Vets of Long Island from September 2014 to July 2016.
Niccole Bruno also worked as a Veterinarian at West Hills Animal Hospital & Emergency Center from July 2007 to September 2014, and later returned to the same role from July 2007 to September 2014. Prior to that, they worked at Long Island Veterinary Specialists as a Veterinarian from June 2006 to June 2007.
Niccole Bruno, DVM has an impressive educational background in the field of veterinary medicine. Niccole first attended Tuskegee University from 1998 to 2002, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences. After completing their undergraduate studies, they enrolled in Cornell University School of Veterinary Medicine from 2002 to 2006. During this time, they earned their Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, gaining comprehensive knowledge and skills in veterinary medicine. In 2020, Niccole further demonstrated their commitment to diversity and inclusion within the veterinary field by obtaining a Certificate of Diversity and Inclusion in Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. Through their education and certifications, Niccole Bruno, DVM has built a strong foundation in veterinary medicine and showcased their dedication to promoting inclusivity in the field.

Blendvet™ is a veterinary hospital and academic training certification program in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB). Leveraging the knowledge of diverse and recognized leaders with over 200 years of combined experience in the veterinary profession, blendvet™ certification is achieved through self-paced modules, hands-on workshops, & personalized facilitated discussions. Why Us: The nationally recognized blendvet™ program is the first of its kind to create an inclusive workplace geared towards fostering environments of belonging for teams and clients by providing the very best in DEIB training. Mission: To cultivate thriving veterinary teams that enable individuals to be their authentic selves, build trusting relationships, and belong within a diverse community empowered to increase the pipeline of underrepresented minorities (URMs) within veterinary medicine. While matters of DEIB will not be solved overnight, blendvet™ believes that through following specific outlined goals, our profession can begin to understand expectations and modify our behaviors to be a more inclusive and equitable field.
