We are seeking a skilled and experienced Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team at Koodoo. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, containerization, and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure using GCP and Kubernetes
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
• Set up and maintain monitoring and observability solutions
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure network security and performance across our infrastructure
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize application deployment and scalability

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, including deployment, scaling, and management
• Extensive knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly:

1. 1. Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
   2. Load Balancers
   3. Serverless solutions (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions)
   4. Virtual Private Cloud (VPC)

• Experience with Prometheus for monitoring and alerting
• Proficiency in Grafana for metrics visualisation and dashboarding
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, specifically GitHub Actions and/or CircleCI
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, including:

1. 1. IP addressing and CIDR notation
   2. GCP Private Service Connect (PSC)
   3. Firewalls
   4. TLS/SSL protocols

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MongoDB Atlas
• Knowledge of the Grafana LGTM stack (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir)
• Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault or other secrets management solutions
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• 4+ years of experience in a Platform Engineering or DevOps role
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
• Commitment to staying updated with the latest trends and best practices in cloud-native technologies

Education Qualifications:

• Experience with NGINX and Ingress Controllers in Kubernetes environments
• Knowledge of DNS management, particularly with Cloudflare and Google Cloud DNS
• Familiarity with OAuth and experience implementing authentication solutions like Auth0
• Understanding of GCP Identity and Access Management (IAM)
