Andreas Barthelmess

Andreas Barthelmess is an accomplished entrepreneur and investor, currently serving as the Founder of Chestnut Ventures since September 2018, with a focus on early tech investments in companies such as auxmoney, Bling, iZettle, pliant, and YOCO. Andreas holds various advisory and investment roles, including Executive Adviser at Bling.de, MYNE, and Pliant, as well as an investor at graswald.ai and Yoco. As a former Executive Adviser and CCO at auxmoney, Andreas contributed to the success of this leading lending marketplace in Continental Europe. Previous experience includes serving as Managing Director for iZettle during its significant growth leading to its acquisition by PayPal, and as CEO of G+J ArtEvents GmbH, part of the prestigious Bertelsmann Group. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Economics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and a Visiting Fellow designation from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne.
