Rene Frank Gahitira

Rene Frank Gahitira is a Hardware Development Engineer at Blink, an Amazon Company, since January 2025, following an impactful tenure as an Associate Electrical Engineer at iRobot from July 2022 to January 2025. At iRobot, Rene successfully designed and delivered a production line PCB that resolved a critical assembly line issue for a Roomba project and also created a PCB for assessing wheel assembly. During the time at the University of Notre Dame, Rene contributed to a senior design project involving a lint detection system for dryers and worked in an IC fabrication lab. Prior experiences include an Electrical Engineering Internship at iRobot and roles at Bridge2Rwanda, which included mentoring students through college applications, resulting in all members obtaining full scholarships. Rene holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, complemented by pre-college leadership training from Bridge2Rwanda and a high school diploma in Mathematics, Physics, Geography, and Entrepreneurship from College Saint Andre.
