João Vitor Mascarenhas

João Vitor Mascarenhas is a Data Scientist with extensive experience in developing data-driven solutions to address business challenges. Currently employed at Blip since January 2023, João has focused on statistical analysis and customer studies to enhance revenue and retention. Previously, at Stilingue from July 2017 to November 2024, João held multiple roles, progressing from a Machine Learning Engineer I to Data Scientist III, where responsibilities included building machine learning pipelines, fostering a data analytics culture, and creating sentiment analysis classifiers for clients. Early career roles included a Student Assistant position at Berkeley Lab, investigating Convolutional Neural Networks, and a Junior Research Fellow position at FAPEMIG, where research involved heuristic methods for layout problems. João holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from UFOP and California State University-Sacramento.
