Ilan Filonenko

Ilan Filonenko is an experienced engineering leader currently serving as Engineering Group Lead in Cloud Native Data Analytics at Bloomberg since September 2018. Previous roles at Bloomberg include Engineering Team Lead for Data Science and Spark Infrastructure, focusing on providing data science infrastructure and managing teams dedicated to large-scale data analytics. Ilan has also held various academic positions at Cornell University, including Head Graduate Teaching Assistant and Course Instructor, while participating in practical software development roles such as Engineering Consultant at TH Real Estate and leading backend engineering at Cornell App Development. Ilan holds a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Cornell University.
