Dorothy Light has a diverse work experience. Dorothy is currently working as the Community Pathways HUB Director at United Way for Greater Austin since June 2022. Prior to this, they held multiple roles at Bluebonnet Trails Community Services, including Director of Community Engagement, STEP UP Texas, Director of Community Engagement for STEP UP Texas, and Director of Contracts, from March 2016 to January 2021. Before that, they worked as an Operations Manager at the Center for Autism and Related Disorders from August 2012 to March 2016.
Dorothy Light attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Southwestern University, where they studied from 1988 to 1992.

Bluebonnet Trails offers an array of health services for all ages, including crisis services, counseling, medication management, developmental disabilities, early childhood interventions, primary care, dental, substance abuse, employment and housing assistance. Services are offered throughout Central Texas Counties: Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Lee, and Williamson.
