Austin Kness

Austin Kness has a diverse work experience. Austin is currently working as a Senior Data Engineer and Team Lead at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee since September 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of an Application Developer Specialist - Tableau from October 2019 to October 2022 at the same company. Austin also served as a Biostatistical Research Analyst for a brief period from April 2019 to October 2019. Before joining BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, they worked as a Web Applications Developer from August 2015 to April 2019 and as a Software Development Intern for Business Informatics from May 2015 to August 2015.

Apart from their experience in the field of data engineering and software development, Austin also has a background in music. Austin worked as a Baritone Soloist at Carnegie Hall in October 2013 and at Jazz at Lincoln Center in September 2013.

Austin Kness has a diverse education history. From 2014 to 2016, they attended Bellevue University and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Software Engineering. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2011, they studied at Indiana University Bloomington, where they obtained a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance. Their undergraduate studies were completed at the University of Northern Iowa from 1998 to 2002, where they graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music.

In addition to their formal education, Austin Kness has obtained several certifications. In September 2019, they became a Tableau Desktop Specialist after completing the certification program offered by Tableau Software. Austin further enhanced their Tableau skills by obtaining certifications as a Tableau Developer and Tableau Author from the same institution in May 2020. In November 2016, they became a Neotys Certified Professional for NeoLoad 5.1, having completed the relevant program offered by Neotys. Additionally, they achieved the Duolingo German Fluency: Beginner certification, estimated by Duolingo, in July 2016.
