Maura Schlagel is an experienced educator and team coordinator currently serving as a Math Teacher at TYWLS Bronx with the NYC Department of Education since July 2016. In addition to this role, Maura has been a Team Coordinator with Blue Engine since August 2014, where responsibilities have included co-leading partnerships in Algebra and Geometry classrooms and mentoring first-year Teaching Assistants. Previous positions include serving as a Global Classroom Intern with Reach the World, a Vets Restore Intern with 4Culture, and a Development Intern at Time In Children's Arts Initiative. Maura's educational background includes a Master of Arts in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Barnard College.
