Alexandra Santos

Alexandra Santos is a Senior Research Associate/Sr. Analyst in Analytical & Quality Control at BlueRock Therapeutics since October 2022, specializing in cell-based assays and potency testing for Parkinson’s cell therapy as part of the Assay Life Cycle Management subteam. Previously, Alexandra was a graduate student at Krembil Research Institute from May 2018 to August 2022, conducting research on cannabis compounds and anti-seizure medications in epilepsy organoid models under the supervision of Dr. Peter Carlen, and served as a Clinical Research Assistant working on various neurodegenerative disease projects led by Dr. Carmela Tartaglia. Alexandra's earlier experience includes roles at the University of Toronto, including a Teaching Assistant and undergraduate research positions in multiple laboratories. Alexandra holds a Master’s of Applied Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering and an Honours Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology and Neuroscience from the University of Toronto.
