Yan Tang

Yan Tang currently serves as a Principal Scientist at BlueSphere Bio since June 2024. Prior to this role, Yan worked as a Senior Scientist at Atara Biotherapeutics from March 2022 to May 2024, focusing on EBV allogeneic T cell and various viral vector process and analytical developments. Yan's experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Cellular Immunotherapies at the University of Pennsylvania from November 2018 to March 2022, specializing in CAR-T therapy and T cell engineering under Dr. Carl June. Additionally, a postdoctoral fellowship was completed at Temple University from September 2015 to November 2018, working on human iPSC differentiation and epigenetic regulation. Yan obtained a PhD in Cell Biology from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a Bachelor's degree in Life Science from Wuhan University.
