Johnnie Thompson has a diverse work experience in the field of compensation, benefits, and HRIS administration. Starting in 2002, they worked as a Compensation and HRIS Analyst at Seton Medical Center until 2008. From 2008 to 2015, they held multiple roles at California Casualty Management Company, including Senior Compensation and HRIS Analyst and Compensation & Payroll Team Manager. During this time, they were responsible for analyzing market trends, designing compensation programs, and administering HRIS systems. In 2018, they became the Manager of Total Rewards and HR Technology at Esurance, where they managed compensation, benefits, and HRIS programs. They then joined Bluevine in 2020 and held positions as the Director of Compensation and Benefits and later as the Senior Director of Compensation, Benefits & People Programs.

Johnnie Thompson has a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Southern California. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology at California State University, Chico. In addition to their formal education, Johnnie has obtained the Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification from World at Work.
