Adele Waters

Adele Waters is an experienced freelance writer and editorial consultant, currently working independently since October 2021, while also holding a part-time writing and editing position at BMJ since December 2021. Previous roles include Editorial Director at the British Veterinary Association from January to July 2021, and Group Editor for veterinary titles at BMJ from February 2017 to December 2020. Waters has a strong background in editorial management, having served as Executive Editor at EMAP, Senior Researcher at Which?, Associate Editor at RCNi, and Campaigns Editor at Nursing Standard magazine. Educational qualifications include a Diploma in Strategic Leadership from the Chartered Management Institute, a BA (Hons) in Communications from Dublin City University, and an RGN from the Florence Nightingale School of Nursing at St Thomas' Hospital.
