Amar Bawagi

Amar Bawagi, FRM, PMP, MBA, serves as the Chief Information Officer for Financial Crimes at BMO, where responsibilities include modernizing technology initiatives related to Cyber Security, Enterprise Fraud Management, and Physical Security. With extensive experience in various leadership roles at BMO, Amar has driven strategic transformation agendas, optimized financial resources, and orchestrated enterprise-level data solutions. Prior to BMO, Amar worked as a Senior Associate Consultant at Infosys, focusing on risk management solutions and business process remodeling. Amar earned an MBA in Finance from Queen's University and a B. Eng. in Computer Science from Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, complemented by a position at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
