Tibor Alec

Tibor Alec is currently serving as VP of Strategy at BNY Mellon, a position held since August 2022, after previously completing a Summer Management Associate role at the same company in mid-2021. Prior experience includes a position as a Business Model Analyst and an M&A intern at Nestlé, as well as conducting a master thesis on sustainable batteries at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where Tibor worked on developing low-cost techniques for safer all solid-state Lithium-ion batteries. Academic credentials include a Master in Financial Economics from Columbia Business School, and both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from ETH Zürich, complemented by a Bilingual Swiss Federal Matura from Ecole MOSER. Additional internships include roles at Volkswagen AG and The Boston Consulting Group, alongside external relations and operations responsibilities at the ETH Entrepreneur Club.
