Joerg Spoerle has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Joerg started their career in 1991 as the Head of Quality Control Laboratory for Solid Pharmaceutical Products at Merck Group. Joerg then held various roles within the company, including Plant Manager and Site Manager in Mexico. In 2007, they joined the Healthcare Business of Merck as Vice President, overseeing pharmaceutical manufacturing in Europe and Latin America. In 2014, they moved to Boehringer Ingelheim as Vice President of Pharmaceutical Operations in Mexico.
Joerg Spoerle earned a Diploma (Staatsexamen) in Pharmacy from the Universität Heidelberg in Germany, from 1981 to 1986. Joerg then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Dr. rer. nat., specializing in an unspecified field of study, at the Universität des Saarlandes in Germany, from 1987 to 1990. Additionally, in 1987 and 1988, they worked as a Research Scientist in Phytochemistry at the University of Panama in Panama City.
