Ryan Binns has a strong background in software engineering and leadership roles in the simulation and gaming industry. Ryan started their career as a Software Engineer at Terrain Experts, Inc (TERREX) in 2006. In 2007, they joined CAE as a Software Engineer and quickly advanced to become a Team Leader, leading large development efforts and mentoring junior engineers. In 2011, they joined GameSim as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked on the Electronic Arts Origin Project and served as the product owner for multiple pieces of core technology. Since 2017, Ryan has been with Bohemia Interactive Simulations, where they initially worked as a Software Engineer Manager, leading the design and development of the VBS IG SDK. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Architect.
Ryan Binns earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from the University of Central Florida, graduating between the years 2001 and 2006. In addition, they hold certifications as a Certificated Flight Instructor - Airplane Single Engine/Instrument (CFII) from the Federal Aviation Administration, obtained in October 2020, and as a Commercial Pilot (CP) obtained in 2019.
