He also worked as Head of Corporate Planning for South African Breweries and as an engineer for Unilever.
Richard was born and educated in South Africa and graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. He also has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of South Africa and an MBA from the University of Cape Town.
