Chris Knapp

Chris Knapp serves as the Research Director at Building 4.0 CRC since February 2022 and holds multiple academic roles, including Industry Advisory Committee Member and Honorary Professor at Bond University, where Chris is also the Professor and Head of the Abedian School of Architecture. As a Co-Director of Studio Workshop since January 2015, Chris practices architecture with relevant registrations. Additional academic involvement includes a recent Adjunct Professorship at Monash Art, Design and Architecture, and prior roles such as Adjunct Professor and Professor and Chair of Architecture at Western Sydney University. Chris has held positions on various committees, including the Executive Committee of the Association of Architecture Schools of Australasia and was a Steering Committee member at Hope House. Educational credentials include a PhD from RMIT University and advanced degrees from Princeton University and the University of Michigan.
