Chris Weitzel

Chris Weitzel is a highly skilled software engineer with extensive experience in user management and API development. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Bonusly since September 2021, Chris leads the development of a new system for managing HRIS integrations, replacing a costly custom code-based solution. Previously, Chris worked at Livongo, where responsibilities included enhancing a coaching feature for asynchronous messaging, implementing PII encryption using AWS KMS, and maintaining an API for partner data requests. Additional experience includes consulting roles for the Midcontinent Independent System Operator, contributing to real-time monitoring tools, and various software development projects at E-gineering and Interactive Intelligence. Chris holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Southern Illinois University and has pursued further studies in Computer Science at Indiana University Indianapolis.
