Boralex
Nicolas Wolff joined Boralex in April 2019 as Executive Vice-President and General Manager, Europe. Today France’s largest independent producer of wind power with a headcount of nearly 230 and operating almost 1,000 MW in the country, Boralex is recognized for its industry approach and unique operating and maintenance model.
Previously with Vestas Group from 2007 to 2019, Nicolas’ positions included General Manager of French subsidiary Vestas France, and later Vice President and General Manager of Vestas Western Mediterranean, with responsibility for France, Spain, Portugal, the Maghreb and West Africa.
Prior to that, he was Commercial Director, Europe, with Morpho (SAFRAN Group), responsible for biometric solutions, and served for four years as Managing Director of the SAGEM Group subsidiary covering the Pacific region (Sagem Australia, Sydney). Nicolas also has international experience gained with Arjowiggins Group, and Thales Group in Caracas.
In addition to his other duties, Nicolas served as chair of France Énergie Éolienne (FEE) between 2009 and 2013, transitioning subsequently to sit as a director and as chair of FEE’s Industry Committee. In December 2019, Nicolas was re-elected to the Presidency of France Energie Eolienne.
Nicolas Wolff is a graduate of ISC Paris Business School and has completed the IMD Executive Program.
