Ruby McCarron is an experienced professional in the field of mechanical engineering and innovation incentives. Currently serving as the Net Zero Portfolio Manager at Bord Gáis Energy since July 2022, Ruby previously held managerial positions at PwC from October 2019 to June 2022, focusing on innovation incentives as a Senior Engineering Advisor and Manager. Prior to that, Ruby worked as an Engineering Advisor at EY in the Innovation Incentives group from September 2018 to September 2019. Ruby completed a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London, where research was conducted within the Rolls Royce University Technology Centre's Tribology Group from December 2014 to November 2018. Early career experience includes a graduate role in mechanical and hydraulics engineering at United Utilities from September 2012 to November 2014. Ruby holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from University College Dublin and foundational education from Loreto Secondary School and Gaelscoil Osraí.
