Joe Cattell

Joe Cattell is a Senior Control System Engineer at Boston Dynamics, with extensive experience in systems engineering. Prior to this role, Cattell worked at Bose Corporation for fourteen years, where contributions included leading the Control Systems Engineering Team and providing expertise for the development of active noise reduction headphones. Additional experience includes time as a Research Engineer focused on automotive technologies, a Visiting Scientist at MIT Media Lab working on wearable robotics, and a Research Scientist at MIT Lincoln Laboratory on NASA's Mars Laser Communication Demonstration project. Cattell began the career as an Engine Calibrator at General Motors. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
