Sasha Alexander Lambert

Sasha Alexander Lambert is a Senior Staff Research Scientist at Boston Dynamics, specializing in the Atlas Manipulation team since December 2023. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Researcher position at the University of Washington from July 2021 to November 2023, and a Graduate Researcher role at Georgia Tech Robot Learning Lab from January 2016 to May 2021, focusing on machine learning and optimization methods for robot perception and control under Prof. Byron Boots. Additional roles include internships at NVIDIA, where projects involved stochastic optimization for model predictive control and fusion of temporal spatial-tactile data for robot manipulation, and a Research Intern at Honda Research Institute, concentrating on multi-object tracking and state estimation. Earlier experience encompasses teaching assistance at Udacity for machine learning, and research positions at the Cognitive Robotics Laboratory and Computational Combustion Lab. Lambert holds a Ph.D. in Robotics and a Master's in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, as well as a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University.
