Christopher D. Wells, PhD, currently serves as the Doherty Marine Biology Postdoctoral Scholar at Bowdoin College and holds a courtesy faculty position at Oregon State University. With a comprehensive academic background, Christopher has contributed as a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Coastal and Ocean Mapping/NOAA-UNH Joint Hydrographic Center and has held various instructional roles, including adjunct faculty at Unity Environmental University and instructor of record at the University of Oregon and Oregon Coast Community College. Christopher completed a PhD in Biology at the University of Washington, following a Master of Science in Zoology and a Bachelor of Science in Marine and Freshwater Biology, both from the University of New Hampshire. Previous research includes the analysis of octocoral communities and the characterization of benthic subtidal marine habitats.
