Roger Lakin

Roger Lakin is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in speechwriting and editorial content. Currently serving as the Head of Editorial Content in Group Communications at BP since January 2014, Roger contributes to BP magazines and websites and provides speechwriting services to the CEO and executive team. Prior to BP, Roger worked as the Senior Speechwriter and Corporate Communications Manager at the Money Advice Service and served as a speechwriter for the Secretary of State at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport. Earlier roles included speechwriting for the Chair at the Food Standards Agency and a decade-long career in travel journalism with Holiday Which?, involving editing and project management. Roger holds a BSc Hons degree in Food Science from the University of Leeds.
