Matthias Schnurr

Matthias Schnurr is a seasoned professional with significant expertise in digital transformation and project management within the healthcare and technology sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Strategic Service & Support and Corporate PMO at Brainlab since September 2016, Matthias leads corporate digital transformation initiatives while overseeing the transformation department with direct oversight from General Management. Previously, Matthias managed international IT-healthcare projects at Roche and contributed to the integration of Digital Pathology in Europe. Early career experiences include research roles at prestigious institutions such as the Leibniz-Institute for Molecular Pharmacology and the DKFZ German Cancer Research Center, focusing on advanced NMR spectroscopy and imaging techniques. Matthias holds a Dr. rer. nat. in Physics from Freie Universität Berlin and has completed executive education programs at IMD and INSEAD.
