Lead UX Researcher at BrainPOP

Danielle François has a diverse work experience in the field of user experience (UX) research and design.

Danielle currently works as a Senior UX Researcher at BrainPOP since the beginning of 2022.

Before that, they worked at HOMER from March 2020 to January 2022, where they started as a UX Researcher and later became a UX Research Manager.

Danielle was also a UX Researcher at Urban FT from April 2019 to November 2019. During their time there, they led the experience team in various research initiatives and ensured accessibility compliance.

As a UX Research Consultant, Danielle worked at Public Preparatory Network in 2019. Danielle conducted interviews, analyzed data, and provided actionable recommendations to improve their web experience.

As a UX Design Consultant at PAL by Project Playdate in 2018, they designed a mobile application and collaborated with the CEO and co-founders to align user needs with business goals.

In addition to their UX roles, they completed the UX Design Immersive program at General Assembly from July 2018 to October 2018.

Danielle began their career as a Microbiology Researcher at Stony Brook University from January 2016 to August 2017. Danielle gained extensive training in various research practices and published a research paper.

Prior to that, they worked as a Research Intern at Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium in 2015.

At Stony Brook University, Danielle held multiple roles from 2012 to 2015, including Laboratory Research Assistant, Administrative Assistant, and Resident Assistant.

Danielle François completed their education at various institutions. In 2011, they enrolled at Stony Brook University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology. Danielle continued their studies there until 2015. Later, in 2018, Danielle attended General Assembly, where they obtained a Certificate of Completion in User Experience Design Immersive. In addition to their academic achievements, they also hold certifications in areas such as "Communicating about Culturally Sensitive Issues" and "Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences," which they obtained from LinkedIn in July 2020.
