Sean McBride

Animator at BrainPOP

Sean McBride has a diverse work experience in the animation and social work fields. Sean started their career as an animator at Flickerlab in 2004 and later worked as an assistant director at Curious Pictures/Disneys Little Einsteins. Sean then joined Nickelodeon/Team Umizoomi as an assistant director before becoming the animation director at Nickelodeon/Curious Pictures Team Umi Zoomi. In 2014, Sean McBride worked as a lead animator and rigger at Huge and also had roles in rigging, animation, and compositing at Mixtape Club. Sean then interned as a social worker at The Carter Burden Center for Aging, Inc. and Transitional Services for New York, Inc. before transitioning into a psychotherapist role at INTERBOROUGH DEVELOPMENTAL AND CONSULTATION CENTER. Most recently, they have been working as an animator at BrainPOP since 2017.

Sean McBride completed a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) degree with a concentration in Clinical Practice with Individuals, Families, and Groups at Hunter College from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, Sean McBride obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Animation from The University of the Arts from 1999 to 2002.
