Mojgan Ghasemian

Mojgan Ghasemian is a seasoned clinical social worker and psychotherapist with extensive experience in providing mental health services to diverse populations, particularly survivors of trauma and refugees. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Psychotherapist at Brandeis University since November 2023, Ghasemian previously worked at Harvard University and Massachusetts General Hospital, specializing in clinical social work and crisis intervention. Additional experience includes roles at various organizations, such as RIAC-Boston, Boston Children's Hospital, and the New American Center, where Ghasemian focused on therapeutic services for trauma survivors and resettled refugee children. Ghasemian co-founded the Family Empowerment Institute, advocating for child protection and developing training modules, and has held international positions with UNICEF and The World Bank, contributing to child protection efforts and educational initiatives in Iran.
