Jay Monteverde is a distinguished legal professional and activist with a focused expertise in environmental justice and climate advocacy. As Co-Founder and Board President of Breach Collective since April 2020, Jay leads initiatives that empower climate and labor movements through organizing and legal advocacy. Previously, in roles at Namati, Jay directed the US Environmental Justice Program and led efforts to empower communities through legal knowledge. Jay served as Board Secretary for Power Shift Network, enhancing young people's influence in climate action, and elevated youth voices in climate policy as Staff Attorney at Our Children's Trust. With extensive experience as Global Environmental Programming Director at the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative, Jay has designed impactful programs in environmental protection. Educational credentials include a J.D. from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and a BA in East Asian Studies from the University of Chicago.
